Second Year as CU Head Coach

Swimming began as a preventative measure for asthma early on but soon became part of my life. Swam for multiple YMCAs and eventually for Cougar Aquatic Club based in Montclair NJ. After taking a 2 year hiatus from the sport I walked onto the swim team at Montclair State University instantly rekindling my passion for the sport. Specializing in Sprint, breaststroke and IM I had great success in the competitive All Division METRO conference all 4 years of my career at MSU. After 4 years of collegiate swimming and serving as team captain my senior year, I developed into much more versatile swimmer, covering; sprints distance stroke and IM events.

In addition to coaching summer teams for 4 years, I also served as an assistant swim coach at Morris Center YMCA where I continued to coach the following year. In the two years coaching there I saw a team grow from a no win team to one of the faster teams in the region qualifying a multitude of swimmers to the Sunkissed Invitational Regional Championship and a few Nationals Cuts. In addition for my love of swimming is my passion in the field of Fitness as reflected in my aspirations as a triathlete now as well as earning a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist cert. I look forward to passing on my knowledge of the sport and helping the CU Boulder Swim team grow as well as expanding the passion for swimming.

Second Year at CU Dive Coach

Diving has been a passion of mine for since I was 13 years old. After competing in gymnastics for several years in my hometown of Elma, NY I decided to pursue diving. I competed at a varsity level from 8th grade until my senior year of high school. Following high school, I decided to focus on my studies and I took a break from diving. I could not stay away from the pool and soon joined the diving team at Syracuse University. I was able to compete in the 1m and 3m in the Big East Conference while pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering. I was able to improve my technique and learn from a great coaching staff during that time. After completing my degree at Syracuse I enrolled at CU Boulder to pursue a PhD in Environmental Engineering. I was a member of the club diving team here from 2010-2013. During my time at CU I have really developed a passion for coaching and I enjoy getting people excited about the sport. It is great to see people improve their skills and learn new dives.
